Naked Chicken Chalupa

I got a lot of requests for it, so I decided to try my hand at the naked chicken chalupa from Taco Bell. I hadn’t had one of these before you guys asked for it, so I went out and got one to try. For those who have never had one, it’s a “taco”, [I know it’s technically a chalupa], but instead of using a tortilla for the shell, the tortilla is just a chicken breast.

It was honestly OK, but I think we can definitely improve it a little, and the version I ended up with was tasty, juicy, and crisp. Hey Taco Bell, hit me up if you wanna collab!

So, let’s make essentially what amounts to a chicken sandwich sans the bun. And in doing so, I’ll have the chance to experiment with some meat glue!

Mountain Dew From Scratch

I got a request for it, so let’s do it.

I grew up in Florida, where Mountain Dew is almost more common to drink than Coca-Cola. But for those who haven’t had it, this is a very intensely flavored orangy-citrus drink with a huge kick of caffeine. Apparently, the reason this stuff is so strongly flavored is due to the fact that it was originally designed as a mixer for moonshine!

How to make Chocolate - Bean to Bar

Alright let’s go from cacao pod to chocolate bar today on this super-intensive video.

I am not going to lie, although this was a lot of fun, it was also a lot of hard work.

In total, this process took me over 2 months, not because the process takes this long, but because I messed up a few times had to start over, as well as deal with some week-long camera issues that didn’t allow me to film. However in my folly, I learned a lot, and I hope to pass what I learned on so you don’t make the same pitfalls I did.

How to make Beer

So today let’s make some beer! Beer making can be a super-intensive process, so I have chosen this very simple style 1-gallon all-grain brew in a bag IPA as a recipe to make this as easy as possible. The recipe I am going to make is for a smaller quantity, something manageable if you just want to try to make beer for the first time. The total amount of time should take 6 hours to make, with an additional 2 weeks of fermentation. This beer is nice and smooth, and honestly was one of the best beers I have ever made.

Sprite

Let’s make some sprite! This lemon lime soda couldn’t be any easier, and the result tasted very very close to the stuff you can buy off the shelves, although maybe a little fresher. It doesn’t need require any complicated ingredients, just some time to make what is known as an oleo sacrum which is the key to getting a drink that tastes less like lemonade, and more like, well sprite. so let’s started

Cola from Scratch

So today we are going to make some cola, the final product was pretty close to what you might get at the store, but I'll let you guys be the judge. This recipe has three main parts, we need to make the flavoring, which is called 7x for some reason, we need to prepare all of the other components that go into the soda syrup, and we need to cook it all together. All in all, this recipe is actually pretty simple so let's get into.

Home-made Big Mac

So today I wanna make my own Big Mac because at home because as my cola video is a testament to I clearly have a problem with making things that I could easily buy. I do have to say this was a really fun project and it came out just as good if not better than the infamous burger. The burger tasted exactly like a McDonald's Big Mac, although in my opinion, the bun was even better. The secret sauce was spot on.

Gooey Melty Giant Peanut Butter Cups

There used to be a really amazing restaurant in Tucson called Bumsted's. They made these super delicious decadent peanut butter and brownie cups, they would then heat these things up and the whole thing would be just the most amazing melty mess. Tasting just like a giant Reese's Peanut Butter cup. I was able to reach out and get the recipe and was given permission to share it with all of you guys. I hope you guys enjoy this simple and delicious dessert recipe as much as I do.
